Abstract

The task of defining service rates in queue networks is a dimensional problem as it revolves around network properties and customers’ behaviour. We examined a fuzzy-based control system for a one-server queue system with possible vacations. It is an optimal system such that arrivals which find customers awaiting service turns are rejected. Our fuzzy-based model dynamically select service rates considering system’s properties in order to minimize cost. We simulated the system beginning with initial condition where all crisp inputs are zero. This hysteretic property indicates that the server is switched on for a 2,500 time units, thereby indicating that the optimal policy is an hysteretic property of s.
