Abstract

This study investigated the Correlation between Perception and Satisfaction of ChatGPT applications in Biology learning among undergraduate students in Federal University of Education, Zaria. To achieve the aim of the research work, three objectives were identified, which led to the formulation of three research questions and two research hypotheses respectively as a guide to the study. The population of the study comprised of 631 undergraduate Biology students during the academic session of 2024/2025 in Federal University of Education, Zaria, and 150 Students were randomly selected. Perception of students in the use of ChatGPT Questionnaire and Students Satisfaction on ChatGPT Questionnaire was used as instruments for data collection. The instruments were subjected to validation by experts and have validity score of 0.68 and 0.71 respectively. 100% of the questionnaires were properly filled and returned. The data collected were summarized and analyzed using simple percentage, mean and standard deviation while regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance, The result revealed that, undergraduate Biology students find ChatGPT relatively easy to use, indicating its potential as an accessible and effective educational tool. It was recommended among others that, Educators should create and disseminate resources that maximize ChatGPT's potential in Biology education, such as interactive simulations, virtual labs, and adaptive assessments
