Effective Guidance and Counselling Program: A Panacea for Prevention of Insecurity in Zamfara State, Nigeria

Insecurity—whether emotional, social, or psychological—is a critical issue that undermines individual well-being and societal progress. Guidance programs, when effectively implemented, serve as a proactive measure to prevent insecurity by fostering self-awareness, resilience, and healthy relationships among individuals and community at large. This paper highlights the importance of guidance programs in schools, workplaces, and communities, presents evidence of their effectiveness in preventing insecurity, and provides actionable recommendations for stakeholders to strengthen these programs.
