In the presence of challenges human being tend to look for solution. The advent and use of AI became popular as a result of the pandemic which broke out in the year 2020. When all activities were put to a stop, solutions were found through the use of computers which includes the use of machines to carryout tasks that human beings do like teaching and learning. The integration of AI in education has brought about significant changes that enhance learning experiences. In this study, the discussion focused on the history of AI, the AI devices used in teaching and learning, the uses of these AI devices, the advantages and the disadvantages of the AI devices was discussed relation to the teaching and learning in the classroom. It analyses the role of teachers in AI-based teaching and the challenges of using AI-powered tools in classroom instruction delivery and learning. Finally, the paper presents the problems that come with the use of AI and it is recommended that the application of AI in teaching and learning can ultimately transform education, improve learning outcomes, and equip students with the skills needed to succeed in this AI era of transformation. However, it is concluded that AI is helping in the classroom and it is not an hinderance to learning if it is well monitored and used with the human supervision.
